Holiday World

The last visiting day in with Tony and Lynne, we went to Holiday World, Indiana. Never heard of it? Me neither! But, oh, was it fun! They had different sections of the park named after different Holidays and the rides had Holiday names, too! There was a huge water park in the middle, so people stayed in swimsuits and flip flops all day. Never experienced that before! I remember distinctly being pulled off a ride at Lagoon for having 'Open toed' sandals on!
The place was great! They had free sunscreen and free drink stations all over the place! And the food prices were really quite reasonable, too! (I guess this is free advertisement day for them! ) :)
We had so much fun together! It is always hard to really get to know nieces and nephews from afar, and I really felt like we all were really comfy and having a great time with each other! So nice!

So funny to watch them dance!!

Favorite ride of the day: The Pilgrims Plunge!!!

I unfortunately had a little too much fun and was in tons of pain the next day flying home. I hurt my neck on the rollercoaster and then helped with the luggage and all. NOT FUN!! I ended up in bed for a few days and getting to know my chiropractor very well! No more rollercoasters for me.. :(

Lincoln Log Cabin and Swimming

Oops! Forgot to post this one...

We got to go see the "Lincoln Family Log Cabin". It reminded me a lot of "This is the Place". They had people dressed in that time period and taking care of the homes. The kids loved the animals and houses. Lynne was really sweet and offered to take some family pictures of us. She is a wonderful photographer!

Waiting to get a treat at the store.

Later on that day, we went swimming at their pool. So fun! They had a fun kiddie area, a big pool, a diving board, AND a waterslide! Wow! you couldn't ask for more!

Erin on the slide.
They MADE me do it! :)

They wouldn't let Ian wear his life jacket, so he went down with Spence.

AND LOVED IT!

My girlies! Yep! Katelyn is now taller than Erin. SHHHH! We don't discuss it! :)

Missouri and Illinois

Some fun signs we saw on the way to St. Louis.

The St. Louis Missouri Temple.

We had a great time waiting for Uncle Tony to come get us. We went to a Chuck E. Cheese and played and ate. It was the perfect stop!
Spence chowing down on Salad.
Katelyn with all of her tickets!

Tony picked us up to take us home to Charleston, Illinois. We were so excited to finally get to see where they live! We had so much fun with them! The week flew by WAY TOO FAST! The cousins got along great and the weather was delightful!

We had lunch at a wonderful Mexican place, then hit some Putt Putt Golf!

The kids loved playing Wii together!

We got to take a tour of the University where Tony works.

They even have a bowling alley! The kids loved getting to play!

Do they look like cousins or what??!!

It's a GIANT ABE!!!! Lynne and Tony tried to explain about this place and the Statues. But I wasn't quite prepared for this one... It is HUGE!!

Erin had been dying to see Coraline, so Wonderful Aunt Lynne rented it for us--3-d glasses and all.
A few little ones got a bit scared. Erin, however, LOvED it!!!
