Woodland Park Zoo

Sept. 2010
We hadn't been to the zoo in a while, so as we needed to pick up Auntie Jen from the airport, (She was returning from an AMAZING trip to Bali) we decided to spend a few hours before getting her. It was a beautiful, mild day. And for once the animals were not taking their afternoon naps! The kids even got to feed the birds and had a wonderful time!

The African Savannah

Katelyn and Ian at the new Penguin exhibit.

My beautiful girls.

Ian and Katelyn 'stuck' in the African Villiage.

Katelyn drawing the lion.

Ian was beside himself with excitement. The bird flew over to his stick! He was so happy, wanted to jump up and down, but didn't want to scare the bird!

Gentle Emily trying to coax the bird towards her stick.

Erin had multiple birds flock to her stick.

Katelyn got a little frightened as the birds flew towards her. Erin was helping her be brave. The bird grabbed the food off the stick and stuck it in its mouth!

It was a FUN DAY!
