Yep, it is that time of the year again-where we live at the ball park instead of at home! :) We love to watch Katelyn play ball. She is so enthusiastic and excited to play the game! She is now on a Rookie Softball team where she gets to see that there are lots of girl athletes. It has been very good for her!
This was her first game. They just rotate positions and she was showing me her "ready" stance! (It is very hard for her to maintain this position for long, she is usually doing a little dance or playing in the dirt. :)
GRRR! This is Katelyn being a tough catcher. This league is machine pitch and nobody showed her where she should squat. She was so close that it pegged her in the chest, so she moved back a tad. Then it pegged her lower on her side (Thank goodness for padding!) and she moved back a little more. Third time was the charm and the ball landed right in her glove! Had to laugh!

She looks like a perfect softball player! It's such a fun sport, I bet she is loving it!
How fun! I think that the only people who are really excused for being loud at any sport are the mothers of the athletes :). Or the wives...
